What causes tinnitus?

Ringing in the ears, whistling, buzzing, tinkling sounds, all common symptoms of tinnitus; and tinnitus, we are led to believe, is a symptom itself as a result of problems elsewhere in the body or mind.

• Causes of tinnitus; there appear to be a few; some undetectable; some unrecognisable; some very obvious, and each having a different method of treatment.

Some medics state that stress causes tinnitus, that severe emotional and/or physical stress is guilty of damaging the ear drum. Some say that causes of tinnitus relate to constant exposure to loud noise, and others state that a small plug of wax in the ear is also a common cause.

Causes of tinnitus

Are often related to neck and head injury, maybe the result of a car accident, a fall, physical abuse, mental abuse, or the devastating involvement of a bomb blast, either the noise from the blast itself or the following emotional trauma.

With the exception of rare medical cases, everyone has body hair. The root of body hair lies just below the epidermis. Hair is obvious on arms, legs, eyebrows etc., but within the ear, causes of tinnitus can be due to damage of hair particles and nerves that of course we would never see, these are the tiny hairs visible only by microscope that move in response to sound waves; notice we are coming back to a sound issue; damaged hairs become stressed and irritated, and within the ear canal, the damaged hairs produce sound impulses in the brain; these are the sounds that the tinnitus sufferer will hear.

• Tinnitus causes disruption of daily life, tinnitus causes lack of sleep, loss of concentration, depression, intolerance, and mood swings; sometimes to the point of damaging relationships, like many other conditions, whilst it can be intolerable for the sufferer, those living with and caring for the tinnitus sufferer, i.e. spouse/partner/family, reach a point where they can no longer cope with the behaviour and mood patterns, and through no fault of their own, relationships can sadly break down.
• Causes of tinnitus will be an ongoing investigation in the hope of one day fully understanding the condition and finding a real cure.

I developed Menierre's disease, and one of the symptoms was tinnitus in the affected ear. I noticed that my symptoms of dizziness got worse when under stress.

When I discovered your website, I decided to try T7, because you said the hypothalamus could be damaged by prolonged stress. I has a lot of stress for a long period of time.

I tried T7 about a year ago. My symptoms of dizziness got better, but I still had the ringing in my right ear and sometimes in the left ear. About 6 months ago I ordered T7 again. Altogether I used it for 3 months.

In general my health is much better. The ringing in my right ear is almost completely gone now.

I sometimes get some ringing in the left ear, but I noticed it often happens when I get a cold or when I suffer from allergies. When I get stressed I also tend to hear the ringing in my right or left ear, but it is not continuous like before.

In general the tinnitus is at least 80% better..
