Thank you for sending me all these information concerning tinnintus. I have had this problem since 1992. It comes and goes about once or twice a year. the worst episodes were those that made me experience vertigo.
I have consulted quite a number of physicians; some specialist in ears, but nothing seems to work. The last one I consulted, diagnosed my ailment as "Menier disease", and prescribe an anti-histamin (Benedryl) and Cinnazine (Stugerone Forte).
I take these two drugs everytime my left ear (only one affected) starts and I have this feeling of fullness in that portion of my head.
I recently came out of this latest bout. Last week, in desperation, I decided to explore via internet, some addition information regarding this disturbing illness - hence, I got into your website.

From what you have told me it does seem that you are actually suffering with Meniere's disease and tinnitus. In fact Meniere's disease and cochlea damage induced tinnitus normally go hand in hand. It doesn't seem that your attacks are too severe at this stage but there are many people who when they suffer these Meniere's attacks simply cannot function for as long as a week at a time.
This ailment can become quite severe and extremely debilitating. Oscar, I have provided detailed information below regarding Meniere's disease and tinnitus. I thought you might find it interesting. I have also attached a Meniere's diet guideline above for your perusal.Meniere's Disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes episodes of vertigo, tinnitus, a feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear, and fluctuating hearing loss.
A typical attack of Meniere's Disease may be preceded by fullness or aching in one or both ears. Hearing fluctuation and/or tinnitus (ringing or sounds in the ears) may also precede an attack.
A Meniere's episode generally involves severe vertigo (head spinning and dizziness), imbalance, nausea, and vomiting.
The average attack lasts two to four hours. After a severe attack, most people find that they are extremely exhausted and must sleep for several hours. In some people, Meniere's episodes may occur in clusters; that is, several attacks may occur within a short time. In other cases, weeks, months, or even years may pass between episodes.
Between the acute attacks, most people are free of symptoms or note only mild imbalance and tinnitus.
