Tofranil for tinnitus
My ears make all kinds of ear noises and i am not sure what is causing it...maybe meniere's disease or sinus, as i have infected sinus's..a c/t scan confirmed this... I have seen my e.n.t. numerous times and he did mention meniere's..... I have had numerous tests done...an audio evoke potential test confirmed an abnormality on the left side.... I have fluctuating hearing loss and right now it is at its' worse as i have fluid in both ears...i have had scores of hearing tests done and each one seems to get worse.. This may sound odd, but if i just put my finger near the ear or my hand on my cheeks i get a humming sound in both ears... I am currently taking cerfuroxime and just finished a round of a prednisone-type med.. I see no change...it has been 5 days now just on this med... I took amoxicillian and it seemed too ironic that my sense of smell and taste have vanished and it has been 17 days of no taste, no smell... I am at my wits end..Can you help me????Please????????? In order to get effective lasting relief from tinnitus it is necessary to treat the root cause of one's tinnitus and not just the symptoms. It is probable that the root cause of your tinnitus is due to the infected sinuses - when there is a problem such as this the Eustachian tubes become blocked and cannot function properly.
