Tinnitus: Had an ear infection which left me with tinnitus

Dear Sirs,

I have found your web site this evening and I am very intrigued to read for the first time since I started with tinnitus in 1993 a possible reason why I have it, which no one has ever offered any form of explanation.

I lost my mother in October 1992, she had cancer for 18 months, 12 of which she was unaware of and my father and I knew. She had a long slow painfully death which I had to stand by and watch at the age of 23.

About 6 months after the doctors thought I had an ear infection which left me with tinnitus in my right ear. In 1997 I moved to Tenerife and for a while my symptoms were better but now have increased and my hearing has decreased in the last 24 months.

My symptoms in my left ear relate to the Type 7 tinnitus on your site. I am also now ready to try for a family and I am concerned about pregnancy and tinnitus.

I am at present taking Idaptan, a Spanish drug for blood pressure in the inner ear.
