Hyperacusis: Thanks for the update....I really need something for painful hearing. I'm unable to go to a restaurant, movies or been in a room with a handful of people. Talking on the phone is extremely painful. I know they have the white noise generators, but since I am on disability (SSI) I am unable to get to John Hopkins or Emory University or any of the facilities that deal with this disorder. If there is, we're not sure, but if there is damage to the 8th cranial nerve, can a supplement really be life changing. Also can this be caused by inhalation of toxic substance over a period of time which has also affected the sinuses. (silica toxicity). Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Linda, I can understand how difficult it must be for you, having such a reduced
tolerance to everyday sound and noises. This is a common trait of Hyperacusis.
