Kim asked:
Meniere's Disease: Thank you, for responding. The only thing I know is about two years ago at a New Years party at friends there was some loud music, louder then what I woud normally listen to music. The next day there was ringing in my ear this went on for awhile and I went to my family doctor and she gave me ear drops because I had other cold symptoms well anyway the ring has come and gone over the past two years and is anoying at times.
The University of Iowa told me it was Meniers disease and gave me a low sodium diet booklet well know this is the fourth week now my ear has not stopped ringing and on Thursday May 6 I was shopping with my sister and I became dizzy and very odd feeling with blurred vision this had never happened to me before and was quite scary, I was unable to drive and when I got home my husband took me to the emergency room where they did not do much gave me something for the dizziness and a prescription Acetazolamide Diamox, they also did another MRI that was normal and refereed me to yet another doctor in the meantime my ear is still ringing, I hope this helps you and any input would be appreceiated. Thank You.
Our Response
Hello Kim,
I really appreciate you getting back to me with so much detail. It is so helpful in diagnosing the root cause of your tinnitus and the correct tinnitus relief treatment to treat your condition.
The fact that your tinnitus started shortly after the exposure to loud music and at the same time you had cold symptoms, confirms that you have cochlear damage induced tinnitus.
In addition the episode that you described dizziness, odd feeling and blurred vision certainly sounds like a typical Meniere's disease attack.
It is very common with Cochlear damage, that one can then develop Meniere's disease - the two go hand in hand in a lot of cases.
It would be very beneficial to you to take our Meniere's disease tinnitus treatment, you will get relief from your tinnitus and also from the horrible symptoms of Meniere's.
