Tinnitus: Hello, whether you realise it or not, you are my last hope. I have gone to many doctors who have all sent me home with different and/contradicting theories. I started yoga about 18 months ago and after having done many head-stands and shoulder stands, I developed a pain in my neck on the left side. This tension in my trapezius led to a low ocean-like, roaring sound in my left ear.
This sound is then followed by slight dizziness/vertigo and nausea. I have the feeling of fullness in my left ear although I do not experience any level of hearing loss at the time of the onset. When I am lying down I can often alleviate the symptoms.
I do believe that the patient knows his/her body best, and have always been sure that my neck problem is the result of this condition. Please could you give me some advice as to therapies.

I am glad to hear from you and feel sure that I can be of help, in assisting you to get relief from these tinnitus symptoms that you are experiencing. It is obviously very important to take the correct tinnitus relief medication in order to achieve effective lasting relief.
There is no doubt that you are suffering from Meniere's disease and the tinnitus, that accompanies Meniere's disease. I agree that the neck injury could have aggravated and triggered this off, however it is in all likelihood not the root cause.
