I have had tinnitus for around 11 years now. The tinnitus is experienced as a constant metallic ringing sound in both ears. For most of the time during the day I can "tune the tinnitus out", but at night time and in quiet rooms the ear ringing is very noticeable.

I also suffer from occasional anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. I take Ativan 1 mg for the anxiety. My Dr. wants to prescribe Effexor for my depression.
I have read that "ringing in the ears" can be a side effect of Effexor. I have taken Celexa and Zoloft previously without any problems, so I may ask my Dr. to put me back on one of those instead. Would your remedies react to these antidepressants?
My job is quite stressful.
I find using ear wax removal drops does remove a lot of ear wax and does seem to reduce the ear ringing a bit.
