Charles' tinnitus is very exposure to artillery fire (very loud sudden noise)...
My tinnitus stems from the fact that I was a field artillery man with service in Germany and South Viet Nam. When I got out of the service in 1967 I had a ringing in my (both) ears.
At that time the tinnitus didn't bother me much because a little background noise helped me forget about the tinnitus noises. In the last ten years, or so, the tinnitus noise has gotten louder so that now the ear ringing dominates all the things I hear. No amount of background makes the tinnitus go away. I need help in the form of your tinnitus treatments, and I need it real quick because nothing I have tried has actually helped at all!
Our response:
Hello Charles,
You have been exposed to very loud and sudden burst of noise in the military service and this is without doubt the cause of your tinnitus.
The exposure to noise leads to cochlea damagewhich in turn leads to high frequency hearing loss and and tinnitus.
We do have extremely good success with noise induced tinnitus Charles, so you have every reason to be optimistic about getting some relief from the ear ringing, soon!
Let me explain...
Most people don't know that there are millions of teeny-weeny nerve cells deep inside the ear that get very stimulated by the great pressures of sound waves caused by external noise.
As noises picked up by the ears the auditory hairs undulate, electrical impulses go streaking through the nerve which your brain interprets as sound.
This agitation cause a manouvering of those wee hair celsl, which reminds one a wheat field agitating in time with a breeze.
All of those minuscule nerve endings and those microscopic nerves are easy to damage when you expose yourself to loud noise. The auditory nerve damage is automatically intensified if you have played in a band or worked in a loud environment for a long time.
The delicate inner ear organs get hurt as a result of a severe blow to the head. Your tiny hairs can get bent or even chipped off and then they send random pulses straight to the brain which is interpreted as a sound, although no sound is actually present. This is your tinnitus Charles!
Cochlear damage leading to ear ringing can often result from ear-wax treatments gone wrong, hopi ear candling, diving accidents, playing sports, dental work and can also be caused by middle ear infection.
Loss of hearing is definitely irreversible although these tinnitus remedies have proved to be extremely successful in dramatically lowering the tinnitis levels caused from cochlear damage. When an external noise is heard the many thousands of small hairs in the inner ear are stimulated.
As and when an external sound is picked up the tiny hairs move and send impulses via the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a sound by your brain.
Agition then cause a movement of all those little hair nerve cell, very similar to a field of wheat on a farm shifting in concert with the wind.
These little hair cells and those easily damaged auditory nerves get damaged easily when exposed to loud noises. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a very loud environment or visit noisy pubs over a period of time will experience more damage.
Any type of surgery to the head can also result in tinnitus from cochlea damage.
Damage to hearing is not reversible nevertheless the tinnitus treatments have been very successful at dramatically and permanently reducing the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
I hope that this tinnitus from exposure to noise resulting in a damaged cochlea information helps you to to decide on the correct course of action that will provide you with the tinnitus relief you are seeking,
Just hit that big red button to get started!
