The tinnitus is a Sense of fullness in the ear...
This remedy has achieved remarkable success at relieving tinnitus caused from exposure to noise, head or dental surgery, a blow to the head.
Client asked:
Tinnitus: sudden onset(over the course of 3 hours) 60%hearing loss in right ear. Sense of fullness in ear. tinnitus. Severe vertigo with nausea and vomiting after the initial onset of symptoms. Have had ongoing milder symptoms since (for about 9 months now) of "vague" dizziness, especially on rising in the am. Hearing loss is "permanent". Sense of fullness and tinnitus in right ear persist.
Not true "Meniere's" according to MD's because hearing loss is in the higher register rather than lower..my medical diagnosis is idiopathic sudden hearing loss/post-viral syndrome. (I don't recall any viral illness, though) Will appreciate any help--I'm taking alternative supplements like Zinc, copper, Ginko, phosphatidyl serine etc. Tried 500 mg/day sodium diet for several weeks with no improvement.
Our Response:
Hello Ronda,
You certainly do seem to be experiencing a mild form of Meniere's Disease. The ongoing ear pressure or that sense of fullness in the ear you are feeling is a definite indicator of Meniere's Disease. Fortunately for you the Meniere's Disease is not chronic and can fairly easily be controlled through correct eating habits.
If you do eat correctly and follow a low salt diet in general, you should be able to gradually reduce that sense of fullness in the ear and reduce the vertigo symptoms almost completely.
Please check out the Meniere's Disease link on the menu at left, you get to lots of information regarding dietary information to control vertigo and Meniere's Disease symptoms from that page. The Meniere's Disease information pages also contain a host of information about the sodium content of hundreds of different food types and would probably be a good page to bookmark for future reference. There are thousands of small hairs housed in the cochlea that move when you perceive an external sound.
When a sound gets discerned by the ears and these minute hairs move, signals go streaking through the auditory nerve which your brain interprets as a sound.
The movements of the hairs in the inner ear can be likened to a field of grass rippling in tune with the breeze.
The cilia in the cochlea are easily damaged from the huge pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. The inner ear damage is made worse if you are a band member or have worked in a loud environment for a long time.
The inner ear and its delicate structures are also damaged by a severe blow to the head Our cilia often get bent out of shape or even broken and then randomly produce impulses directly to the brain which interprets them as a sound, although there is no sound present.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also caused by scuba diving accidents, swimming incidents, removals of ear wax etc.
Loss of hearing is permanent but our cochlear damage remedies have successfully lowered the tinnitus levels of many thousands of tinnitus sufferers. With regard to tinnitus and hearing loss you are experiencing Ronda, this is caused from cochlear damage. Whilst there is nothing we can do about the hearing loss, we can help you with regared to the cochlear damage tinnitus.
