Client Asked
My tinnitus is a constant ringing in my ears that isn't normally too loud so I can ignore it. When I get really tired or late at night the tinnitus will quite often get louder. Even if someone snaps their fingers next to me or bops me alongside my head like my wife playfully does once in a while it will get louder for awhile and then fade back down. Also my ears will pop and then for awhile I can hear everything more clearly but the ringing also becomes more pronounced.
Our Response:
Hello Kenneth,
Your tinnitus does seem to be caused by cochlear damage which can easily happen from loud noise or ear infections. When you get tired or stressed and the tinnitus becomes more noticeable, that is also an indication of this type of tinnitus and the constant ringing in your ears is also a strong indication of cochlea damage.
