Tinnitus is constant ringing of my left ear. The ear ringing seems to be worst when I get up ,I constantly try to pop my ears and massage them they do pop ,the noise seems to get not as loud as the day goes by. You most definitely are experiencing some hearing loss most probably as the result of cochlear damage. Tinnitus and high frequency hearing loss are the most common symptoms of cochlear damage. Exposure to loud noise, ear infection, a blow to the head, can all cause tinnitus and cochlea damage.A little known fact is that there are thousands of diminutive hairs in the inner ear that are influenced by sound waves caused by external sound.

As and when an external noise is detected the minute hairs move and send impulses via the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.

Agition then cause a movement of all those minute hair nerve cells, much like a field of wheat on a farm swaying in tune with the wind.

These minute hair cells and those delicate auditory nerves get damaged easily when subjected to loud noises. The inner ear damage is made worse if you have played in a band or worked in a loud environment for a long time.

Noise induced cochlear damage tinnitus which can cause a ringing in the ears often is caused ear wax removals, a procedure known as ear candling, swimming accidents, sports injuries, head or dental surgery.
