Client Asked:
My tinnitus started after a stapendectomy for hearing loss. never had tinnitus before before. The tinnitus noise is like a swishing noise in my ear.
Our Response:
Hello Jean,
The most likely cause of the tinnitus is cochlear damage sustained during the stapendectomy. The shock and noise of the procedure is the probable cause of the cochlear damage, which in turn is now causing the tinnitus.Did you know that there are thousands of tiny hairs in the cochlea that are influenced by sound waves caused by external noise.
When a noise is heard by the ears and these small hairs move, impulses are sent through the auditory nerve which your brain interprets as noise.
These small hair cells and those easily damaged auditory nerves get damaged easily when exposed to sudden loud noises. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a very loud environment or visit very loud places over a period of time will suffer further damage.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also a result of scuba diving accidents, swimming incidents, ear wax removals etc.
Hearing loss is most certainly incurable nevertheless the tinnitus remedies have been very successful at reducing the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
Jean, we do have excellent results with tinnitus of this sort and I have explained how we can help you as well as how this damage normally occurs.
