Tinnitus from extensive dental procedures for over 20 years which includes, 8 or 9 root canals, many crowns and fillings and gum surgery (appox. 10 years ago) I also had a blow to my head when I was a child which knocked my 2 front teeth out.

In order to get effective lasting relief from tinnitus, it is essential to treat the root cause of your tinnitus.
The inner ear and ear structures are exceptionally sensitive and delicate and can be damaged very easily.
There is no doubt in my mind that you are suffering with cochlear damage induced tinnitus probably as a result of the blow to the head incident as a child and the root canal, dental surgery you had.There are millions of tiny hairs situated in the inner ear that get affected when you perceive noise.
As and when an external sound is picked up the tiny hairs move and send impulses via the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a sound by your brain.
Agition then cause a stirring of all those minuscule hair nerve cells, very similar to a field of wheat on a farm swaying in time with the wind.
The hairs in the inner ear are easily broken from the pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a noisy place or frequent loud pubs over a period of time will experience more damage.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also a result of scuba diving accidents, swimming pool incidents, removals of ear wax etc.
Hearing loss is most certainly incurable however the tinnitus treatments have been very successful at lowering the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
