I got hit directly in the ear, from behind...
Client asked:
I got hit directly in the ear from behind unexpectedly, the ear has been ringing for a month and abit since it happened.
Our Response:
Hello Peter,
The ringing in the ear you are experiencing is without doubt caused by cochlear damage. This is the most common form of tinnitus and the one tinnitus type that we fortunately do have excellent success with.
The cochlea is a delicate organ in the inner ear that is easily damaged by exposure to loud noise or as in your case a blow to the head.A little known fact is that there are literally millions of diminutive hairs in the cochlea that are affected by sound waves as a result of external noise.
As and when an external sound is detected the minute hairs sway and send signals via the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.
The agitation of the hairs in the inner ear can be likened to a field of long grass moving in tune with the wind.
The hairs in the cochlea are easily damaged from the huge pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. The inner ear damage is made worse if you are a band member or worked in a noisy factory for a long time.
Any type of surgery to the head can also cause noise induced tinnitus.
Loss of hearing is not reversible but our noise tinnitus remedies have successfully reduced the tinnitus levels of many thousands of tinnitus sufferers.
