Tinnitus - Flew too soon in an aircraft after a sinus ear infection.
Client asked :
I flew too soon in an aircraft after a sinus ear infection. So far still ringing after 21 days. 3 Months Augmentin and Entex for 10 days.
Our Response:
Hello Paul,
It is very common for a sinus or ear infection to take quite a while to clear up and unfortunately the added pressure on your ears whilst flying has probably resulted in some cochlear damage which is what is causing the tinnitus.
We do however have a very high rate of success in treating this particular type of tinnitus which we refer to as type 4.There are millions of tiny hairs situated in the inner ear that get affected when you perceive noise.
When a sound gets discerned by the ears and these small hairs start moving, impulses are sent through the nerve which your brain interprets as a sound.
Agition then result in a movement of all those little hair nerve cells, much like a field of wheat on a farm shifting in tune with the wind.
These little hair cells and those infinitesimal auditory nerves get damaged easily when exposed to sudden loud noises. The inner ear damage is all the more amplified if you are a habitual concert goer or worked in a loud environment for a long time.
The inner ear and its delicate structures are also easily damaged by a severe blow to the head Our cilia often get bent out of shape or even broken and then randomly transmit electric pulses directly to the brain which interprets them as a sound, although there is no sound present.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also a result of scuba diving accidents, swimming pool incidents, removals of ear wax etc.
Loss of hearing is permanent but our noise tinnitus remedies have successfully lowered the ear ringing levels of many thousands of tinnitus sufferers.
