Hi, I'm 46 and have moderate to severe hearing loss in my right ear, as well as severe tinnitus. I had an MRI on my right ear, as the doctor was concerned there might be a tumor. There wasn't. He diagnosed it as noise induced hearing loss. I have occassional fullness, vertigo, and seasonal allergies. In '95 I had jaw surgery for malocclusion and TMJ, and suffered temporary severe hearing loss in my right ear. In the last few years my tinnitus and hearing loss have gotten worse. Hello Grant,

A mixed bag is what you call it, but the ROOT CAUSE of your tinnitus problem is more than likely to be cochlear damage resulting from the shock and noise of the surgical procedures you have had to endure. You would also experience hearing loss with noise induced tinnitus so I do feel strongly that you should simply purchase the Type 4 remedy for cochlear damage tinnitus.There are thousands of little hairs housed in the cochlea that move when you perceive an external sound.

As and when an external noise is detected the tiny hairs sway and send impulses via the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a sound by your brain.

The cilia in the inner ear are easily damaged from the pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. The damage is made worse if you have played in a band or have worked in a loud environment for a long time.

Any type of surgery to the head can also cause tinnitus from cochlea damage.
