Exposure to Loud Noise is a very common cause of tinnitus, however the good news is that we can help you get relief from your tinnitus. We have a success rate of 85% with the treatment of this particular type of tinnitus, which we refer to as type 4 tinnitus.Did you know that there are thousands of tiny hairs in the inner ear that are moved by sound waves as a result of external noise.
When a noise is heard by the ears and these minute hairs move, impulses go streaking through the nerve which your brain interprets as noise.
The movements of the hairs in the cochlea can be likened to a field of long grass rippling in tune with the breeze.
The hairs in the inner ear are easily damaged from the huge pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. The damage is made worse if you have played in a band or worked in a loud environment for a long time.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also often caused by scuba diving accidents, swimming incidents, ear wax removals etc.
