Thank you for your email regarding tinnitus. It would seem to me based on the information you supplied that you have experienced cochlear damage at some time. This can come about as a result of ear infections, a blow to the head or exposure to lod noises.Did you know that there are literally millions of tiny hairs in the inner ear that are influenced by the great pressures of sound waves caused by external sound.
Whenever an external noise is detected the minute hairs move and send signals via the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.
These minute hair cells and those infinitesimal auditory nerves get damaged easily when subjected to loud noises. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a very loud environment or frequent loud places over a period of time will suffer further damage.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also a result of scuba diving accidents, swimming incidents, ear wax removals etc.
Hearing loss is incurable nevertheless the tinnitis treatments have been very successful at dramatically and permanentlylowering the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
