Tinnitus sounds is a constant high-pitched buzzy-hum in my left ear...
This remedy has achieved remarkable success at relieving tinnitus caused from exposure to noise, head or dental surgery, a blow to the head.
Client Asked:
As far as stress goes I don't think that is relevant to my tinnitus. I am early retired and don't have any major stress at the moment. As for the Ambien, here's the background. I took 5 mg every night for over a year when I was going through a stressful divorce, this about 3 years ago.
After that was over, I only took Ambien on occasion, as I have never ever slept well. My OB-GYN prescribed a 10 mg dosage last year, partially for expense reasons and partially as I was entering menopause and having more difficulty sleeping.
I now try to only take it occasionally but always take it when my husband and I are traveling, and then usually the 10 mg. dosage. I also have used foam earplugs almost every night for the past year or so (new husband snores badly) - would this have any impact on tinnitus?
As for types of tinnitus sounds, it is a constant high-pitched buzzy-hum in my left ear. When I say constant I mean all the time!!. Once in a while it is accompanied by a lower pitched hum that has a "wave" to it but this is not as often. I don't think I am hearing anything in my right ear but it is sometimes really hard to tell for sure. That is really all I can think of to help you assess, in addition to what I gave you originally. Thanks for your help and hope to hear from you soon. Bev...
Our Response:
Hello Bev,
I believe that it is most likely cochlear damage that is causing your tinnitus. You have not taken Ambien in large dosages or for any significant length of time and I don't think presciption drugs are the cause of your tinnitus.
One can easily damage the sensitive inner ear organs and I have explained how this can happen and also how you can relieve the tinnitus which results from cochlear damage in the link below. When an external sound is experienced the many thousands of tiny hairs in the inner ear are stimulated.
As and when an external noise is detected the minute hairs move and send impulses through the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.
The cilia in the inner ear are easily damaged from the huge pressures generated by extreme blasts of sounds. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a noisy place or visit noisy clubs over a period of time will suffer more damage.
The inner ear and its delicate structures are also damaged by a strong blow to the head If damage happens and the cilia are broken or bent they can send random signals to the brain which are interpreted as noise even though none is present.
Any type of surgery to the head can also result in noise induced tinnitus.
Damage to hearing is most certainly not reversible nevertheless the tinnitis treatments have been very successful at dramatically and permanentlyreducing the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
