Client Asked:
I feel that I contracted tinnitus after taking Zithromax for the flu. Although many products give ringing in the ears as a side effect, they do not reveal that it could result in PERMANENT ear ringing. These pharmaceutical companies should reveal this possibility. Are there any lawsuits pending that I could join? thank you, maude slattery.
Our Response:
Hello Maude,
It is more likely that the flu you had has caused Cochlea damage which has resulted in the tinnitus. Many medications can cause tinnitus as a side effect, however all medication is supplied with some form of literature and this will list any and all possible side effects. In other words the Pharmaceutical companies are protecting themselves, against any possible lawsuits.
We can however help you get relief from your tinnitus, as we have a very high rate of success with this particular type 4 tinnitus.Did you know that there are literally millions of tiny hairs in the cochlea that are influenced by sound waves as a result of external sound.
Whenever an external sound is picked up the minute hairs sway and send impulses through the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.
Agition then cause a movement of all those minute hair nerve cells, very similar to a field of wheat on a farm moving in time with the wind.
These microscopic hair cells and those easily damaged auditory nerves are easy to break when exposed to loud noises. The damage is made worse if you are a band member or worked in a noisy factory for a long time.
The inner ear and its delicate structures are also easily damaged by a severe blow to the head The tiny hairs often get bent out of shape or even broken and then randomly transmit impulses directly to the brain which interprets them as a noise, although there is no sound present.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also caused by scuba diving accidents, swimming incidents, ear wax removals etc.
Hearing loss is most certainly incurable however the ringing in the ears treatments have been very successful at dramatically and permanentlylowering the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
