My tinnitus started after an ear infection that would not
clear up; took steriods/antibiotics; ear felt like it filled up with fluid
but Dr. said no fluid on ear; lost a great deal of hearing in that ear
and then six weeks later the tinnitus started with a loud roar that impaired
the hearing in my good ear; lasted 24hrs. and then subsided to high-pitched
ring, waterfall sound, hissing and warning siren sound. Varies in severity
and length of time when unbearable. Roaring would come
every now and then and last 24hrs. Had hyperacusis at first, but better
now. Now my good ear has ringing in it too since I had a sinus infection
that lasted three weeks in the fall. Loud engine sounds make the sounds
in my head louder. A room with alot of people talking at once is very
uncomfortable. But some loud sounds from musical instruments make the
sound louder in the first few hours but then the tinnitus is a bit better
after that. Does not last however; varies often. Have quieter days and
louder days, but sound is always constant, never lets up. Diet and supplements
have seemed to help in the past, but not so much now. Brisk walking, getting
blood pumping always helps with the exception of one time when it made
the roaring louder and worse. I think the roaring came as a chemical imbalance
as I was trying to even out my hormones with medication. When I quit the
meds the roaring quit. Experience a tight, full feeling in ear occasionally;
pain every now and then; spasms in my
neck, cranium and jaw occasionally.Being treated for TMJ but Dr. cannot
say that is cause of tinnitus. Thank you.
Hello Sandra,
I thank you for the excellent desription and details of your tinnitus
condition. This makes it so much easier for me to recommend the correct
tinnitus relief remedy, for the relief of your tinnitus. Obviously it
is important to take correct tinnitus relief medication, in order to achieve
effective lasting relief.
The fact that your tinnitus started with an ear infection that didn't
clear up properly, you have suffered with Hyperacusis, Sinus infection
and the TMJ problem, all of these confirm that you are without a doubt
suffering from cochlear damage induced tinnitus. Tinnitus from cochlear
damage is also accompanied by hearing loss in the higher frequencies.
This particular type of tinnitus also always accompanies Hyperacusis and
the TMJ condition. The inner ear and ear structures are extremely sensitive
and delicate and this damage can happen so very easily, I am not at all
surprised that you have this terrible debilitating tinnitus, after all
you have experienced.
In addition to this cochlear damage it certainly sounds as if you are
still suffering from Hyperacusis as well. The fact that you still have
a reduced tolerance to certain noise, such as loud engines and a room
full of people talking, making you extremely uncomfortable due to your
sensitivity to noise further confirms this.
Sandra, we have an excellent course of treatment for Hyperacusis and tinnitus.
These particular tinnitus relief remedies have an excellent success rate
and have helped many people, from all over the world get effective lasting
relief.
I have provided further information regarding Hyperacusis and tinnitus
below.
