I had sinus problems for about 6 months (forehead headaches and congestion around the nose, with a feeling of pressure between the eyes. I then had a swimming pool incident (got ducked under a couple of times) after which my ears felt blocked, slight deafness (worse some days than others) and continuous ringing in the left ear. This was one year ago. Now suffering with hayfever - which has made it worse. I've been seeing consultants at the hospital and telling them that I think it's sinus related; they don't seem to be listening and want to fit me with a hearing aid - which I'm sure is not the answer. In the past (with another illness) I had success with homeopathy, and have therefore tried it again for the sinus problem - unfortunately haven't found a remedy yet that has worked. When I get as much detail as you have supplied, it makes it so much simpler and easier for me to recommend the correct tinnitus treatment remedies. Linda there is no doubt that you are suffering with Sinus induced tinnitus, obviously the Eustachian tubes are not working correctly and this often results in tinnitus.
You further mentioned that after suffering with the Sinus infections, you felt your tinnitus changed and got worse after the swimming pool incident.
It seems very likely that you are in fact suffering with cochlear damage induced tinnitus, in addition to the sinus induced tinnitus.
