CLIENT ASKED

I am a male, 42 years old, and I first started noticing the tinnitus or ear ringing last December 2003. Two events took place at that time. First, my two youngest children each shouted in my ears two times each over a period of a few weeks. Second, I
developed ear and sinus infections shortly thereafter, which my doctor treated with a decongestant in tablet form, Flonase and Allegra. I have stopped taking the decongestant, but I continue to take the Flonase and
Allegra. I noticed that the ear ringing has increased in volume since beginning the prescription drugs. Also, in the past few days I've recognized that the ear ringing dissipates if I quit, or cut down on, the Flonase. I haven't experimented with the Allegra yet. It will probably also be helpful for you to know that I am just now realizing that I may have had a mild form of tinnitus for much of my life without realizing it. I say this because I've always that the sound of total silence at night was a very mild buzzing noise. As a result of the
increase in ear ringing volume over the past six months, I now realize that I may have been "hearing" tinnitus all these years. OK, three more things, and these probably border on the insignificant.
First, when I was a young boy I heard an explosion that caused me to lose my hearing for most of a day. Second, I banged my head on the side of pool and the bang caused me to lose my eyesight for a few minutes. Third, I have played soccer most of my life, including four years of varsity
soccer in college, and "head balls" were at one time a common occurence. I've never experienced any pain or know side effects from heading a soccer ball. So there's my tinnitus story. Any thoughts?

Our Response:

Hello Lee,

Thanks for the detailed description of your tinnitus condition. Details such as you have supplied make it so much easier for me to help you choose the correct tinnitus relief treatment. This is obviously important as one cannot expect effective lasting relief, if the correct tinnitus relief remedy is not taken.

It seems very likely that you are suffering from two different types of tinnitus. Namely cochlear damage induced tinnitus which probably was as a result of the events that took place when you were a young boy - the explosion and the blow to your head. This is the mild form of tinnitus that you have experienced most of your life.
In addition to this you are suffering from sinus induced tinnitus and unfortunately the continuous use of antihistamines only tend to compound the problem. This is why you notice a decrease in the noise of the tinnitus when you cut down on the Flonase.
Suffering with two different types of tinnitus happens fairly often and is best treated by taking two separate tinnitus relief remedies, in conjunction with each other.
The remedies in question are Type 4 for cochlear damage and Type 3 for Sinus induced tinnitus.

Lee, I have provided further information regarding Cochlear damage induced and Sinus, Allergy induced tinnitus below.
