The tinnitus noises are a high-pitched ringing noise that gets worse at night and if I'm under stress. The tinnituus noise is annoying and is stopping me from getting to sleep. The tinnitus gets worse at night especially when I'm very tired. I had Bell's Palsy two years ago and during that time I didn't like to listen to loud noises on my affected side. The high pitched ringing noises you are describing plus the fact that your tinnitus gets worse when you are stressed or tired does indicate to me that you are probably suffering from cochlear damage tinnitus as well as the stress tinnitus you are experiencing.The part of the brain and affiliated structures in the brain, such as the Pons, the pituitary fossa, the basal cisterns, the ventricular system can have influence in being the root cause of head ringing.

Obviously the choisest way to treat stress induced a ringing in the ears is to remove the problems that are responsible for the stress.
