Client asked:
So many possibilities and I'm clueless as to what the cause is of my tinnitus. I scuba dive and have no problem clearing my ears. I have had mild chronic sinusitis for 30 years, yellow mucus, etc. Cannot think of any trauma or noise damage other than listening to relatively loud music on occasion at a live concert, a noisy piano bar, college 30 years ago. My cholesterol is low, 168 or so. No TMJ, middle ear problems, metal poisoning, drug use (prescribed or recreational) except Advil for aches and pains associated with activity for a man of my age, 47. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. My problem began a few years ago, just occasional, lasting sometimes for a day or two. Now it is constant and varies in loudness.
Our Response:
Dear David,
I thank you for your email, as well as your expressed interest in our T-Gone tinnitus remedies.
I am truly sorry that you are suffering with this horrific ailment however I know that we can help you get relief.
It can be difficult trying to determine which type of tinnitus one has - however the fact that you have suffered from mild chronic sinnusitus for 30 years, with the yellow mucus etc. and even though you Scuba dive and have no problem clearing your ears, (my entire family, love Scuba diving) - you are definetely suffering from blocked Eustachian Tubes - Sinus induced tinnitus. It's very ordinary for individuals who have sinus problems to sometimes experience tintinitus symptoms. This is because the mucous builds up and eventually blocks the internal ear canal which causes pressure and causes the ringing in the ear symptoms. This additional build up of pressure can not only cause tinnitus but also some middle ear infections.Sufferers of sinusitis, rhinitis and allergies will without fail at some time in their lives hear tintinitus sounds. Tinnitus from sinus may also be caused by your body reacting to drugs, antibiotics or antihistamines. After long periods of taking antibiotics or antihistamines to control the sinus problems tintinitus is often heard. It is the antibiotics and antihistamines that cause the mucous in the middle ear to become too thick and viscous to easily drain away through the very tight Eustachian tubes. Due to the Eustachian tubes being very tight this additional build up of mucous in the middle ear canal will start causing problems and maybe even tinnitus.
