Tinnitus from sinus problems are often caused by the medications and prescription drugs one take to treat the sinus infection and allergies. These drugs often lead to a thickening of the mucous in the inner ear which in turn leads to a pressure buildup and tinnitus.It is very common for people who have sinus problems to occasionally experience tintinitus symptoms. This is because the mucous builds up and eventually blocks the interior ear canal which causes pressure and leads to the ringing ear symptoms. This extra build up of pressure can not only cause tinnitus but also some middle ear infections.Sufferers of sinusitis, rhinitis and allergies will without fail at some point in their lives hear tintinitus sounds. Tinnitus from sinus may also be caused by your body reacting to drugs, antibiotics or antihistamines. After long periods of being on antibiotics or antihistamines to control the sinus problems tintinitus is often heard. It is the antibiotics and antihistamines that cause the mucous in the middle ear to become too thick and viscous to easily drain away through the very small Eustachian tubes. Due to the Eustachian tubes being very small this extra build up of mucous in the middle ear canal will start causing problems and maybe even tinnitus.
