Thank you for your e-mail communication which I received regarding your tinnitus. You have indicated a possible cause to be stress and have also mentioned heavy drinking of alcohol.
It is not likley that heavy drinking could be the cause of your tinnitus but alcohol in large amount could aggravate your tinnitus condition.The hypothalamus and interrelated conformations in the brain, like the Pons, the pituitary fossa, the basal cisterns, the ventricular system all have influence in causing head ringing.
Ideally the best way to cure stress induced tinnitus is to remove the conditions or situations that are responsible for the stress.
