Shock and Trauma induced tinnitus due to Surgery...
Chris asked:
Loud ringing sound in my left ear. I have had a hearing test and there is no hearing damage. I have experienced a fair bit of stress over the past 12 months, but for the last month I've been stress free! And the tinnitus just keeps getting worse.
Our Response:
Hello Chris,
The tinnitus you are experiencing from stress does not happen overnight. It is obvious that you have been subjected to stress over quite some time and the tinnitus is a direct result of this stress.
The hypothalamus and interconnected systems in the cerebellum, like the Pons, the corpus callosum, the brain stem, the ventricular system do play a part in being the root cause of head ringing.
The hypothalamus is a basic section of the brain located under the third ve ventricle. It manages many systems in the body, including the pituitary gland.
Obviously the choisest way to cure stress induced head ringing is to remove or modify the problems or situations that are responsible for the stress.
We refer to this as Type 7 - Stress Tinnitus.
