Marilyn asked:

My tinnitus details are;my doctor says it is nerve damage but i believe that it is due to a traumatic life event....i was on the phone when i received the news and then when i was in the shower i noticed extreme hearing loss in one ear and that is when the tinnitus began as well.

Our Response:

Hello Marilyn,

It is actually remarkable just how serious a condition stress is and how many people experince sever side effects as a result of stress and traumatic life events.

When you experience a traumatic life event such as the death or near death of a loved one, your body stops reacting normally and the Hypothalamus in the brain stops producing ceratins chemicals and trace elements essential for normal functioning.

Marilyn, I have explained this phenomenon is more detail below.

Marilyn, please click here to read my reply which is fairly detailed, but it will give you a very good insight into stress induced tinnitus and how best to deal with this chronic condition.
