My tinnitus is either stress or medicinal? My life has been full of stress, mostly kids and divorce, for many years. The tinnitus started when I was taking Effexor XR. It got gradually worse over 3 years and I stopped taking the effexor 2 years ago but the tinnitus never went away or lessened. I didn't take any more antidepressants until I started trying different ones about 3 or 4 months ago. I am now taking Paxil which seems to be working for me - started a week ago. Other medications I have been taking for more than 5 years are Flovent HFA, Ratio-Salbutamol HFA and Dicetel. The tinnitus started a few months after I started taking the Effexor XR. I have a constant high pitched ringing/buzzing in my ears. Its like the ringing you get occasionally and somebody says that somebody is talking about you. I had an MRI around 2 years ago which was normal.

I am glad that you got in touch with me and I will do my best to assist you in choosing the correct tinnitus relief remedy.Obviously this is important as one cannot expect effective relief, if the correct tinnitus relief medication is not taken.It seems that the main cause of your tinnitus is definitely stress induced. It is really quite frightening how much damage stress can cause to one's health, fortunately in this day and age we are so aware of it.The hypothalamus and associated conformations in the human brain, such as the Pons, the pituitary fossa, the basal cisterns, the corpus callosum, the brain stem, the ventricular system do have influence in initiating tinnitus.
Ideally the optimum way to treat stress induced ear ringing is to remove or control the problems that are responsible for the stress.
It is possible that the medications that you took further aggravated the tinnitus, however I would recommend that our Stress induced tinnitus relief remedy will give you the relief that you so deserve.
