I suddenly had tinnitus and a loud, high-pitched ringing in my ear.
Client asked:
Tinnitus: About five years ago I suddenly had tinnitus and a loud, high-pitched ringing in my ear; I was also dizzy (about a week before this I was expirimenting with Ketamine, apparently an animal tranquilizer. I never used it again). I was scared so I went to a doctor, where they discovered and removed a plug of ear wax--but the ringing didn't stop, and has not since then. Around that time I began having bad sinus difficulty and in the years since, have found that I have rather severe allergies (mostly to nature--trees, grass, etc.). I also have very very minor tinnitus in my other ear; this developed a couple years ago. So... because my allergies are so bad and began bothering me around the same time as the ear wax incident, I think that may be the root cause. However, it may just as well be the ear wax removal, or for that matter, my stupidity in inhaling the Ketamine. Any light you can shed on this would be wonderful. The tinnitus is, at best, incredibly annoying, and at worst makes me feel like I'm going to go crazy! Thanks for your time.
Our response:
Hello Patrick,
Thank you for all the details regarding your tinnitus, as this makes it so much easier for me to help you choose the correct tinnitus relief remedy. It is obviously important, in order for you to get effective lasting tinnitus relief that the correct tinnitus relief medication is taken.
You are correct, your tinnitus is as result of the Sinus and allergy problems and the ear wax removal could have caused further damage or aggravation. Continued Sinus and allergies normally results in cochlea damage induced tinnitus. The Ketamine that you inhaled probably caused the dizziness that you experienced but this did not cause your tinnitus. When an external sound is heard the many thousands of tiny hairs in the inner ear are stimulated.
Whenever an external noise is detected the tiny hairs sway and send signals through the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.
Agition then cause a stirring of all those minute hair nerve cell, very similar to a field of wheat on a farm swaying in tune with the wind.
The cilia in the inner ear are easily broken from the pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a very loud environment or visit very noisy pubs over a period of time will experience more damage.
The inner ear and its delicate structures are also damaged by a severe blow to the head If damage happens and those tiny hairs are broken or bent they can send random signals to the brain which are interpreted as a sound even though none is present.
Tinnitus from noise (cochlea damage tinnitus) is also often a result of scuba diving accidents, swimming incidents, removals of ear wax etc.
Hearing loss is not reversible but our cochlear damage remedies have successfully reduced the ear ringing levels of many thousands of tinnitus sufferers.
