My tinnitus started about 2 months ago in the right ear only...
Client asked:
Tinnitus: My tinnitus started about 2 months ago in the right ear only. Sounds like a thousand crickets, all the time. Onset after about a month of taking Naperson for back pain. Back problem is Lumbar Degenerative Spondolothesis, on the right side only. Stopped taking the Naperson(Naproxsin)(500 mg, 2 times a day)after 6 weeks. Now taking Motrin only (200mg one or two times a day). Stress from a new job, third grade teacher, up at 5:00 (really love the job).
Concerned about back problem and surgery with in the year. Declinded the spinal block for pain. Prognosis is surgery with the year. Family trouble along with producing and acting in a play (since have dropped out). Doctor said the motrin and the Naperson caused the Tinnitis.
Should stop within 2 weeks of stopping the Meds, has not stopped. That was over a month ago, still ringing. Will start Yoga tomorrow to help stress and back.
Our response:
Hello Elizabeth,
I will do my best to assist you in choosing the correct tinnitus relief remedy so that you may get effective lasting tinnitus relief. Obviously it is most important to treat the root cause of one's tinnitus and take the correct tinnitus relief formula in order to do so. I can understand why your Doctor would think that the medication caused your tinnitus, in many cases this is quite correct. There are thousands of small hairs housed in the inner ear that move when you hear an external sound.
When a sound gets discerned by the ears and these minute hairs start moving, signals go streaking through the nerve which your brain interprets as a sound.
The hairs in the cochlea are easily broken from the pressures generated by extreme blasts of sounds. Obviously those that are unfortunate enough to work in a very loud environment or frequent very loud pubs over a period of time will experience more damage.
These sensitive organs can also be damaged from a knock on the head. If damage happens and those tiny hairs are damaged or bent they can send random impluses to the brain which are interpreted as a sound even though none is present.
Noise induced cochlear damage tinnitus which can cause a ringing in the ears often is caused ear wax removals, ear candling, swimming accidents, sports injuries, head or dental surgery.
Hearing loss is most certainly incurable however the tinnitus treatments have been very successful at lowering the tinnitus levels from a damaged cohlea.
Tinnitus is a side effect of many medications. However you mention that the ringing noise that you hear sounds like " A thousand crickets" and this noise is common to cochlea damage induced tinnitus. It seems more likely to me that you are suffering from cochlea damage induced tinnitus, which has been triggered off by stress that you have been under. Often one can have cochlea damage without being aware of it all. Tinnitus as a result of cochlea damage can also cause hearing loss in the higher frequencies.
Our tinnitus relief remedy for cochlea damage induced tinnitus is an excellent treatment and I feel sure that this is the correct treatment for you.
