Tinnitus: I hear high frequancy noise in both ears in equal intensity. As far as I can remember I have had this since I was a child, I am 54 now.

The only external noise I was exposed to was from aircraft between 1972 to 1976 in the Airforce, but as I said I had it before that. Also I always had a problem making out what one is saying in loud situation as in a party. Best regards

Hello Luciano,

There are thousands of small hairs situated in the inner ear that move when you hear an external sound.

When a sound gets discerned by the ears and these minute hairs start moving, signals go streaking through the auditory nerve which your brain interprets as sound.

The agitation of the hairs in the inner ear can be likened to a field of grass rippling in tune with the wind.
