My tinnitus started after I have suffered with alergies since arriving in Aus 20 years ago...
Client asked:
Tinnitus: My tinnitus started after I have suffered with alergies since arriving in Aus 20 years ago. this has mainly been confined to my sinus' and blocked nose. Often accompanied by sneezing and coughing. I am currently going through a specialist who is attempting to find the cause of the allergy. 3 months ago my ears started ringing (buzzing) and it has not stopped since. Periodically the noise is less, but at other times it is quite loud and disconcerting.
The specialist said it is very difficult to treat tinitus successfully. I am very healthy in every other respect although I have been on Lipex for about 6 years for high cholesterol (now under control at 4.5) I can't think of anything else that might be useful to tell you. I did have an absess in my ear 20 years ago which left scarring in one ear, however, this has never given me trouble.
Our response:
Hello Chris,
I am glad to hear from you and will do my best to assist you by helping you choose the correct tinnitus relief remedy, in order for you to get effective tinnitus relief. Obviously it is important to treat the root cause of one's tinnitus, in order to get effective tinnitus relief. Sinus and allergies can cause many problems, as you are obviously aware, however in many cases this can cause a lot more damage than one realises.
I see that you marked Sinus/Allergy induced tinnitus as a likely cause and in a way this is partly correct, however continuous allergies and or sinus eventually cause damage to the delicate inner ear structures. This is known as cochlea damage and this results in the noise or ringing which is tinnitus. The abcess that you had in your ear which left scarring could have also contributed to this damage.A little known fact is that there are literally millions of small hairs in the inner ear that are affected by sound waves as a result of external noise.
As and when an external noise is detected the tiny hairs sway and send signals through the auditory nerve which is interpreted as a noise by your brain.
The agitation of the hairs in the cochlea can be likened to a field of grass moving in time with the wind.
The cilia in the inner ear are easily broken from the pressures generated by sudden bursts of sounds. The inner ear damage is all the more amplified if you have played in a band or have worked in a loud environment for a long time.
These sensitive organs can also be damaged from a knock on the head. The tiny hairs often get bent out of shape or even broken and then randomly produce impulses directly to the brain which interprets them as a sound, although there is no sound present.
Any type of surgery to the head can also result in tinnitus from cochlea damage.
Hearing loss is permanent but our noise tinnitus remedies have successfully lowered the ear ringing levels of many thousands of tinnitus sufferers.
