Tinnitus: My tinnitus started a couple of years ago. I was at a very loud concert and then got a cold/sinus infection shortly after that and my ears have been hissing ever since. In the last year the hissing has gotten louder but I can't attribute this to anything. I do take antihistimines fairly regularly but don't know if this has had any affect. Some days the hissing is louder than others and causes difficulty sleeping. It also seems louder if I've had a lot of caffeine that day. Thanks
Hello Karen, The inner ear structures are very delicate and extremely sensitive, therefore damage can happen pretty easily. There is no doubt that the loud concert you attended caused some damage and then the fact that you had a cold/sinus infection has only caused more damage. Tinnitus from cochlea damage also causes hearing loss in the higher frequencies. Many people think they have Ear drum or nerve damage when in actual fact it is cochlea damage, which results in tinnitus. I would recommend that you take our tinnitus relief formula for cochlea damage induced tinnitus, it is very successful and has helped many people get effective relief from tinnitus. I have provided further information below regarding cochlea damage induced tinnitus.
